Option 1 Standard 18+ English Language and Aviation English Combination Course
- 1 – 6 weeks
- 3 hours Standard English in the mornings (daily). Course fee per participant USD 450.00 per week
- 2 hours Aviation English (General – not including Test or Interview Preparation) in the afternoons. Course fee per participant USD 75.00 per hour
Option 2 Standard 18+ English Language and ICAO English Proficiency Test Preparation Combination Course
- 1 – 6 weeks

- 2 hours ICAO English Proficiency Test Preparation in the afternoons. Course fee per participant USD 75.00 per hour
Option 3 ICAO English Proficiency Test Preparation Intensive Course (Initial and refresher courses - ask about availability)

- 1 week (intensive) N.B. A less intensive 2 - 3 week mornings only option is available on request.

Course Information:
Aviation English (Option 1) – This course offers the opportunity for personnel working in the airline industry to practise speaking, listening, reading and writing to improve their aviation English in selected topic areas. Students will read texts, listen to dialogues, answer questions, write reports and summaries and enter into dialogues on a range of aviation related topics such as: airport layout, medical and other emergencies, extreme weather conditions and pilot/air traffic control communication.
ICAO English Proficiency Test Preparation (Options 2 and 3) – This course offers the opportunity for certificate holders or those working towards a certificate to practise speaking and listening in preparation for a proficiency test. Students will practise the specific type of questions and assessment tasks relevant to the proficiency test to be taken, including:
- English Language Proficiency for Aeronautical Communication (ELPAC)
- FAA Aviation English Language Standard (AELS)
- Transport Canada Aviation Language Proficiency Demonstration (ALPD)
- Other ICAO English proficiency tests
Students will learn strategies for success in the proficiency test to be taken.
Aviation English Interview Preparation (Option 4) – This course offers the opportunity for job seekers (pilots, controllers, dispatchers, flight attendants, etc.) to practise speaking and listening in preparation for a job interview. Students will participate in mock interviews where they will answer relevant questions and learn strategies for success in the interview.
Special notice for first time test takers:
Course booking must be made a minimum of 6 weeks in advance of the course start date for participants preparing for their first test.
